| Dr.Sanjeev Agarwal MBBS, MS, DNB, FRCS Ed, FRCS (Tr and Ortho) is a consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery based at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. He graduated from the reputed King George’s Medical College, India where he completed his basic medical qualification with honours. Subsequently, he undertook the Master of Surgery degree in Orthopaedics and was conferred the Diploma of National Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. |

| He was accepted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1999 and then joined the Yorkshire Orthopaedic Program for a 6 year all round specialist training in Orthopaedics. During this period, he developed an interest in the management of hip and knee arthritis. |

| Sanjeev did a clinical fellowship focused on hip and knee replacements, complex reconstructions and revisions, from the prestigious Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, USA and the Harvard Medical School. Over a period of 1 year, he had the opportunity to work with renowned experts in hip and knee surgery in the United States. This has had a significant impact on his surgical practice in the UK. |

| He has published over 20 research papers in peer reviewed journals, and has written review articles in journals and chapters for world class reference books. These include 'The Adult Hip' which is a top class reference book for hip surgery and in another book published by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is currently authoring a book for higher surgical trainees in UK and is actively involved in teaching and research. |

| Sanjeev is a consultant in the Cardiff and Vale NHS trust, working at the University Hospital, and at Llandough Hospital. He is honorary lecturer at Cardiff University. Professional memberships include the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Medical Association. |

| Away from work, he is an avid tennis player. Other interests are swimming, cycling and outdoor activities. He is married to Jyoti and they have two children. |

| The private consultations and private practice is based at the Spire Hospital, Cardiff. His specialist interest is hip replacement, revision hip surgery, knee replacement, knee revisions, partial knee replacements, knee arthroscopy and limb reconstruction surgery. |
